Igor Pesocki

The works of the wood cutter Igor Pesocki are exclusively made by hand with self-made tools.

Not a single area or detail has been milled or worked with a machine. As you can also see at the adjacent part of the work "Conversation of Jesus with a Samaritan Woman".
The smallest details are worked out in precious wood during a highly concentrated process, which takes several weeks. Astonishing is the spatial arrangement and three dimensionality of all his works.

The artist uses exclusively biblical motives, which he finds in old and sometimes very rare bibles in the monasteries of his home country.

The small animations give an idea of the process his works undergo, from the first outline over the basic piece of art to the finished artwork.
